Question Details: My poor cat has had fleas for over 2 weeks now. We first gave her frontline, then a flea bath, put a flea collar on her, and bombed the house... and she STILL acts like she has fleas REALLY bad!! she has sores on her body from scratching so hard and so much. I am not sure what to do next.. She has also been acting really weird. She wont leave high spaces, and only runs when she is on ground level. She mainly stays on the window seal, counter tops, or on our bed. Im not sure what to do. The vet suggested getting some other treatment that is more the frontline, but im not sure we want to do that. Any ideas??? Im not sure how we can have fleas so bad still, with all the precautions we have taken and all the treatments we have used. I have no carpet in the majority of my house (bedroom is only carpet room) and the coach is leather, so no cloth or fabric.

Take him to a different vets and get a second opinion. it seems like a skin infection or disorder more than fleas, especially with all the treatment you have given her!!

Skin disorders, while uncomfortable can be cured quite easily when discovered, so good luck to you and your cat!!!!

seperated shoulder can anybody help?

Question Details: yesterday i was at football practice for my middle school we were tackling each other and when i tackled somebody that was at least 3 times my size i herd a loud pop in my shoulder and immediately fell to the ground. i told the coach what had happened and he just told me to take my pads off but i couldn't move my shoulder up so he helped me and he told me to go sit in the bleachers and he got me ice to put on it. and that didn't help so i went to the school nurse and she said i probably broke my shoulder or collar bone and she called my mom to come pick me up. so then she took me to the doctor and they did x-rays and told me i needed to go to the hospital because i had a separated ac joint grade two and at the hospital they did more x-rays and said the same thing and they said it didn't look like i needed surgery at this point. so they sent me home with a sling and pain killers and now i noticed a bump on my shoulder its very hard..well any ways can anybody tell me how long it will take for a good recovery?

according to this it should be in a sling for like 2 weeks.

also, any coach like that is a joke.... we have a trainer a certified athletic trainer available at our school at ANY time during the practice, if he was a good coach he would have gotten you help immediately.

Question Details: I practiced for 7-9 months practicing to be a quarterback. Right now, (don't want to sound like a jerk) but I can throw REALLY accurately. I can hit somebody in the chest at 35-40 yards. However, I broke my collar bone week before my football practices started. This way I never got a chance to show my coach how to throw. He has 2 horrible "QBs" . Don't get me wrong they scramble but can't throw.

I Don't think my coach would let me try out for QB because we are too late into the season, and we got through many plays already. What can I do?

take some snaps! really you got to show up for the position that you think is really yours! ask the coach that your back to health and you want to take some snaps!

Question Details: ? have a saint bernard that weighs 106 kg's and a 2 yr old sister that weighs 9 kg's . She saw me riding my horse at the show and decided that she wants to do it so bad she's crying all the time and stuff but my coach said that she's too young and we have to wait at least two years!
So here's the thing i'm going to teach her how to ride on my dog. My dog is very well trained . ?trained her to halt walk trot canter gallop and REAR=) She doesn't buck yet=)
So i'm going to put a bare back pad on him made for miniature ponies and use a halti gentle leader collar with nose band and the training leash as reins. The pad had lightweight plastic stirrups .
? talked to his vet and she said go for it your dog can carry up to 35 kg's!!!!!
So what do you think about this ?? What should i do first? ? think i'll lead her for while just make up some theories if you ride horse or train dogs please?
? checked with the vet she said it's okay saint bernards are meant to carry weight!

I think it's possibly very cruel. Dogs are not meant for carrying people, that's what horses are for. Please just wait the two years, St. Bernards are not ponies. I'm sure there are pony rides and maybe some riding lessons for younger kids.
My little sister used to try to ride our boxers when she was a lot younger. Luckily, they put up with it, but would sit down as to get her off of them.
So please, for the dog's sake and your sister's, don't make your dog a pony.
